Climb the second highest peak of Slovenia Mt. Škrlatica

Create Moments

The Queen mountain

Mount Škrlatica, also Scarlet Mountain in English, is called after its beautiful purple color, which it gets at sunset. Rising 2740 meters above sea level and being the second highest Slovenian mountain it is considered the queen of the Julian Alps.

Our starting point will be in the Vrata valley from where the trail steeply rises through forest until we come to the bivouac on the grassy slopes. Here we will replace hiking with climbing and soon we will be standing on the Scarlet mountain!

From the beginning of June to the end of October we offer guided ascents. Departures are by an appointment.
